Uh-oh - this article sounds like a fire-and-brimstone sermon that is either going to scare the daylights out of you or make you feel guilty.
Actually, it's not that at all, it's more like a reasonable analysis of why the fear of God is something that's good in society, and why not having it makes for - well, what we have now - everyone throws a temper tantrum when they don't get their way and society falls apart!
From one of my favorite sites, that continually has great thinking articles. You don't have to subscribe to see the article, however, I do, because I think sites like this need support.
