Florida has just passed an anti-grooming law, which has received huge support from most Floridians and legislators of that state. In this latest article from The American Thinker Peter Laffin (who is a teacher and writer in Laguna Niguel, California), writes:
So we couldn't ask for a clearer and more succinct view of this law. He remarks that the law which is worded thusly:As someone who taught school in progressive enclaves for 14 years, I can attest that there are many good people who oppose this law for fear that it will diminish the humanity of loved ones and reverse the tide of social progress. Although I do not believe that this law will have that effect, I respect the sincerity of those who do. Nonetheless, it remains urgent to speak truth plainly and oppose the ever-intensifying spread of radical social theory being taught to ever-younger students.
that the key phrase is "instruction."Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards.
But this presents certain problems. In that who is going to determine the "manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate" for students. Obviously, teachers are not trained in psychology and can not make that decision. But then neither can the media nor these "progressive groups" who so shout that this is required in today's schools.
What's even more interesting is that not only do Floridians hugely support this bill, there are also other conservatives (well, duh - that's a no-brainer), but many Democrats also support this sort of reigning-in on teachers. As Laffin says:
The article is a great read - short and succinct.Too many teachers have departed the realm of education and entered into the realm of indoctrination, and often with a creepy, messianic air. As such, they must be reined in.
