A Saskatchewan man who killed his parents and his seven-year-old son while leaving his daughter for dead has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years. On March 28, 2020, Nathaniel Carrier, entered his parents’ home, turned off the surveillance camera, and cut the throats of his father, Denis Carrier, mother Sandra Henry, seven-year-old son Bentlee, and five-year-old daughter Kendrah. He plead guilty in January to the first-degree murder of his son and the attempted murder of his daughter. He also plead guilty to the second-degree murder of his parents, who were both 56. The court heard on April 13 that Carrier, who was convinced the COVID-19 pandemic would be the end of the world, had entered into a suicide pact with a woman he met online just days before the killings.
