There Really Is Hope Out There

Post by claireokc »

Some of my favorite quotes for life are the ones about persistence:
Never, never, never, never give up
~Winston Churchill
Never ever, ever give up. There will always be another door through which to walk. ~ Ben Carson
If you are persistent, You will get it
If you are consistent, You will keep it ~ Anon
With the parental revolution set up in Virginia, there looks like hope on the horizon for parents who are willing and wanting to see their children get an education that they can not only use, but that will serve them later in life - even possible aid them in early a living for themselves and their progeny! In Oklahoma, it even looks hopeful with the help of an organization, Legal Overwatch for Parents’ Student Rights.

Considering the plethora of attorneys available for the school boards to rebuff any comment, suggestion, or even presence at a school board meeting, there is hope for those parents wanting to fight the obscene and otherwise ridiculous curriculum and ideas that might be mingling in the brains of n'er-do-well libs. This new firm provides legal help and aid for parents working to bring about a better education system, even though they are also fighting the OEA which has become firmly established in the state.

Here's a short quote from the article:
In her first lawsuit, Legal Overwatch took on the defense of parents’ religious rights when the Stillwater School Board interrupted and shut down a parent’s religious opposition against the District’s continuation of Obama’s Department of Education transexual bathroom policy. When a boy entered the girl’s bathroom in which a female teacher was present, the issue heated up and so did concerns in the Stillwater community. Parents lined up to speak at upcoming school meetings, including Brice Chaffin. Mr. Chaffin based his opposition to the bathroom policy on Biblical passages. Less than a minute into his address to the Board, he was interrupted and told he was not on topic. He was again interrupted before the two-minute mark, at which time the school board shut off his mic and had him escorted from the meeting by law enforcement.
It's a short article and worth the time spent reading.
