PICO RIVERA, Calif.—A 1-year-old girl was rushed to a trauma center after she was injured in a pit bull attack in Pico Rivera, and she is expected to undergo surgery on April 25 for a hip fracture at Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. Paramedics were sent to the 9600 block of Homebrook Street at 10:19 p.m. on April 24 on a report of a dog bite incident, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The girl, a toddler named Ruby Ann Cervantes, is one of four people injured in the dog attack.
