A report into possible workplace safety violations that occurred on the set of the film “Rust,” where cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed in October 2021, is reportedly “on track” to be released on April 21, officials have said. The report is being carried out by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and the incident is still being investigated by authorities in Santa Fe County. Under New Mexico law, the state’s Occupational Health and Safety Bureau, which is a division of the Environment Department, must file citations against the movie’s producers within six months of the incident, Deadline reports. “We are on track to release the report by the April 21 deadline,” Matthew Maeza, a spokesperson for the New Mexico Environment Department, told Deadline. “I don’t have details about the report findings to share at this time.” ...
